Corner Series

“This series is called “Corner”, as you can see all these spaces are corners of the house. I started the series during lockdown, and, as I did not have any models or other subjects that interest me, I decided to paint small areas of the house. The more I started looking for things, the more things I found, and small little details started to fascinate me. For example, the texture of the floor, how the light comes inside, the exaggerated perspective, etc.

Then, I started to add the two characters that made my quarantine more stressful and enjoyable at the same time, my husband and my little dog. I decided to add daily personal moments that I believe everyone can relate with, such as my dog waiting for my husband at the door, my husband cooking, or just myself relaxing after a long day looking out of the window. The time stops and I start to appreciate the little joys of daily life.
